General Information
Ogemaw county is located within the northeastern quadrant of the lower peninsula of Michigan and covers an area roughly 564 square miles. The area is saturated with lakes and rivers - the most note worthy of wich would be The Rifle River.
It is bordered by Iosco County to the east, Roscommom County to the west, Oscoda County to the north, and Arenac and Gladwin to the south.
West Branch is considered the county seat with Rose City and Prescott being the other noteworthy towns.
The most prominent routes travelling into Ogemaw County are I-75 from the north and south and M-55 from the east, connecting to US-23 at Tawas City.
The county's central location makes it easily accessable and ideal for weekend getaways or long summer vacations. Accommodation is readily available year round.
Ogemaw County boasts a wide variety of restaurants and bars as well as award winning golf courses where visitors can relax and enjoy at their own leisure.
