Located on US 23 opposite the newly constructed Town Square, Tawas City Town Square Park is one of two recreational facilities that are linked to one another on the shore of Lake Huron.
Along with 1500 feet of shoreline the park also boasts picnic facilities, a lookout equipped with a telescope, an esplanade and a quaint building that is used for weddings and concerts.
A memorial dedicated in 1995 to Lt. William Bowen, a resident that died during WWII gives the park the feel of remembrance and reverence.

I have to say, the way you had the beach all blocked off preventing kids from swimming or playing on swings and stuff after six pm was crazy. you had for firework safety but yet you sold tickets for special people. I came up to enjoy the beach so my grandkids could play all day but turned around and went home. that was a joke.
