Harbor Point Park is situated on US-23 across from Newman Street in downtown East Tawas.
Recently the park played host to the Uncork’d & Untapped Wine and Ale Festival that featured wineries and breweries from across Michigan.
This can be taken as an example of how versatile Harbor Park really is. Along with new and unusual events, the park also hosts annual indomitable festivals like The Breeze by the Bay, Blues by the Bay and Perchville USA - the winter lifeblood of the area.
More than anything else however, Harbor Park is know for its proximity to the East Tawas State dock where boaters and fishermen from across the country gather to pluck Walleye, Lake Trout, Pike and Perch (to name a few) from the fertile Lake Huron waters.
During winter months, ice fisherman and cross country skiers use the adjacent East Tawas City Camp Grounds as base for their expeditions to favorite local spots.
But in the summertime is when the park sees most of its activity. With 113 seasonal and 110 transient slips, the marina can be your temporary place of residence from May 20 to September 25.
Amenities include water, electricity(20- or 30- Amp service) gas, diesel, pump-out, restrooms, showers, playground and adjacent beach. Visitors are just a short stroll away from downtown East Tawas and scenic Newman Street, which serves as the Central Business District of the town.
Please note that all transactions for reservations and fuel in the harbor must be paid for by debit or credit card. No cash is accepted.
