East Tawas Community Center

Constructed and opened in 2000, East Tawas Community Center boasts a 7800 square foot recreational facility which includes a full size gymnasium and an elevated synthetic track.

The center, located at 760 Newman Street, East Tawas, and its facilities are available to residents and visitors year round. You can either obtain a daily recreational pass at $3.00 or an annual pass for $12.50 for individuals or $20 per couple.

Many residents make use of the indoor track and gym during the colder months when exercising outdoors becomes increasingly hazardous.

Equipped with a full service kitchen, the Center plays host to various private functions including wedding receptions, concerts, fundraisers, seminars and banquets. Rental rates for the facility start at $400 for residents Sunday through Thursday, to $800 for non-residents on Saturdays.

A smaller, multipurpose room is also available for rent Monday through Thursday and is ideal for seminars, workshops and meetings.

The Robert C. Bolen Memorial Park sits adjacent to the Community Center and offers basketball courts, a baseball diamond, picnic area and playground.
