The park is situated at 720 Smith Street in East Tawas and plays host to the Tawas Knothole Association’s little- and senior league softball tournaments as well as the “Summer Sizzler“ tournament held in June for those under 10.
With a kitchen, covered picnic area, horseshoe pits, softball field and playground, kids and adults alike can enjoy this recreational facility year round. The park opens daily at 7am and closes at 11pm.
The site is perfect for graduation parties, neighborhood barbeques or just a family get-together to celebrate the season.
TOM DILLON PARK PAVILION
RULES AND STIPULATIONS FOR RENTAL
1. Rental of the Dillon Park Pavilion will be available to clubs, non-profit organizations, and the general public on a year round basis.
2. Reservations for the Pavilion will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Requests for reservations will be taken beginning January 1 annually, with reservations being confirmed after May 1 annually.
3. Any individuals, groups or organizations desiring to rent the facility must have a minimum of 15 people.
4. A reservation form must be obtained from the East Tawas City Park Office. When the reservation form has been filled out, return it to the East Tawas City Park office along with a check in the amount of the required rental fee. Your reservation will be confirmed at this time.
5. REFUNDS: A refund will only be given if, upon cancellation of your reserved date, the East Tawas City Park is able to re-rent the facility for that same date. If not, no refund will be given.
6. Youth groups and service clubs or organizations may qualify for special discount rates. Check with the Park Office.
7. Dillon Park Pavilion facilities include:
a. 30' x 34' exterior picnic shelter & Picnic Tables
b. Men's & Women's handicap accessible restrooms
c. Full Kitchen Facilities
d. 2 outdoor gas grills available with kitchen rental
AFTER YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED, THE FOLLOWING RULES WILL GOVERN YOUR USE OF THE PARK FACILITIES:
1. The hours for the Dillon Park Pavilion shall be from 7:00 a.m. to Midnight.
2. All state and local ordinances are in effect on the park grounds and must be strictly obeyed.
3. The undersigned party will be responsible for all clean-up of Pavilion area and surrounding grounds.
4. The undersigned party will be responsible for the behavior of all his guests.
5. The undersigned party agrees to accept responsibility for all damages to any park property resulting from the rental of same, and to make proper restitution to the East Tawas City Park for said damages.
6. Responsible adult supervision must be provided at all times.
7. Park personnel will open the pavilion for your use at a pre-specified time. No keys will be given out.
8. Employees of the East Tawas City Park may evict any and all guests at any time for violation of these rules.

THE FOLLOWING RATES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE RENTAL OF THE DILLON PARK PAVILION:

Monday - Friday $35.00 per day
Saturday & Sunday $50.00 per day
